15th Annual Glen Ellyn Invitational Tournament Rules
1. Three game guarantee. Two referees, one scoreboard operator, and one scorekeeper will be provided for each game.
2. Teams will be allowed 5-10 minutes for warm up (time permitting). Games will start promptly at game times posted. If your team is unable to field five players at game time, the game will be considered a forfeit.
3. If a team forfeits a game there will not be a refund to the team that showed up they will just be given a victory with a 15-point margin. Game Time is forfeit time.
4. There will be no practicing on the courts before your warm up time.
5. Games will consist of four 6-minute stop clock quarters. The clock stops for all whistles, injuries and timeouts.
6. There will be two time outs per half plus one additional time out for each overtime. No time outs will be carried over from half to half or into overtime. Overtime periods will be 2 minutes’ stop clock. After two overtimes the game will go to sudden death. The first team to score any type of point will win the game. Half time intermission will be 5 minutes.
7. Bonus will be in effect on the 7th team foul and double bonus on the 10th foul for each half.
8. A zero-tolerance policy will be in force. A copy of that policy is attached. If a coach or player has been issued 2 technical fouls he/she will have to leave the building immediately and will not be allowed to coach or play any of the remaining games in the tournament. Fans will have to adhere to the no tolerance policy. If this policy is violated, the person will also be asked to leave the building immediately. His/her team will be issued a technical foul if they are in violation of the policy. It is the coaches’ responsibility to control their players and fans.
9. Uniforms must be the same color for each team and have a number on the back.
10. Regulation ball 29.5” for boys and 28.5” for girls.
11. Tournament Director have full authority of events on and off the playing court and final say.
12. Minimum 5 to start the game, you can only be rostered on one team unless otherwise approved by Tournament Director.
13. Teams must supply their own warm up balls. Game balls will be provided courtesy of Wilson.
14. Champion T-Shirts will be awarded for 1st place of each division. All teams will receive t-shirts. Twelve (12) shirts total will be handed out to each team.
15. Pressing: Pressing will be allowed in all divisions except, no pressing is allowed when a team has a 15-point lead or more.
16. Tie Breakers will be handled with the below metrics: 1. Head to Head 2. Points Allowed 3. Differential 4. Coin Flip
17. All other rules shall be in accordance with the current I.H.S.A. rules.
18. Home teams will be listed second on the schedule and ideally wear white color jerseys. Please work with the other coach on uniform colors.
